Center Information:

The Art of Living Foundation presence in Hong Kong began in 1992. It has actively served the community by regularly holding the Art of Living Courses and other related activities. In August 2003, a full-time Centre was established to meet the growing demands of the community.

Regular courses and seva activities have seen the presence of the Center grow where a full-time premise is now used to engage the courses and activities.  In the past 12 months various activities to raise the profile of the Foundation has been hosted.

Sri Sri Visit

Most notably was the three-day visit of H.H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to Hong Kong in April.  During His visit, Sri Sri met with members of the media, government officials, hosted a public talk and met with enthusiastic devotees.  Sri Sri met with Professor Arthur Li, Minister for Education, and the dialogue that ensued showed a common sharing of goals and objectives--the ultimate blossoming of the individual.  Banudidi also came to the Center recently in September with a charged satsang for all. Being the Silver Jubilee Year, the Center launched its celebratory activities by providing free-meditation luncheon drop-in sessions in the heart of the Central Business District.  Given the hectic and stressful lifestyle and habits of a global financial center, the initiative was a welcomed respite and sojourn offered to office workers.  This was followed by a very successful fund-raising walk for Peace that helps contribute towards the Centre.  Our enthusiasm cumulated with a sizeable delegation from Hong Kong at the Silver Jubilee Celebration this February in Bangalore.
Courses

Throughout the year, Part 1 and ArtExcel Courses were regularly on offer and increasingly people are participating which the growth of the Centre.   regular Part 2 Courses are also happening in the centre.  Two back-to-back DSN course were also held in Hong Kong which cumulated with the first ever charity concert featuring Vikram Hazra.

To meet the growing needs of the Centre, regular Knowledge Courses are now being held.  Most recently the Bhakti Sutras, Yoga Sara Upanishad and the Yoga Sutras were all well attended.  The Courses are helping many devotees appreciate the depth of knowledge contained in the Art of Living Courses
and Practices.

Seva Activities

The community work or seva activities are continuing to touch the hearts of the needy and neglected in Hong Kong.  The commitment to the elderly and the disadvantage has seen various activities where people can conveniently participate in and contribute.

Hong Kong is a rapidly changing community.  The diversity and complexity of this financial global center, proximity and gateway to China, presents the Foundation with multiple engagement points in bringing back human values to the community.
