About Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Gurudev) is a humanitarian leader, spiritual teacher and an internationally renowned and respected ambassador of peace. He is also the founder of the international Art of Living Foundation, one of the largest independent, humanitarian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the world (it operates in 152 countries), with a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (UN). Gurudev and the AoLF are active in the UN, as well as in numerous other international bodies and committees in the areas of health, education and sustainable development. The priorities include aid projects in developing countries, trauma and stress management in crisis areas and rehabilitation programs for victims of violence and prison inmates.
