The 10th Corporate Culture and Spirituality Conference to host world leaders and business heads to evolve global business strategies

Bangalore, January 29.2013: 700 business heads from all across the globe will be a part of the 10th edition of the ‘Corporate Culture and Spirituality’ (CCS) Conference in Bangalore. Organized and hosted jointly by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) and The Art of Living in association with World Forum for Ethics in Business, this global event will be held at The Art of Living International centre on the 8th-9th of February, 2013.

A distinguished panel of speakers including Dr. Veerappa Moily, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Government of India; Mr. Murugesh Nirani, Minister of Heavy Industries, Government of Karnataka;Mr.Maheshwar Rao, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka;Mr. K. V Kamath, Chairman, Infosys; Mr. Kishore Biyani, Chief Executive Officer, Future Group; Mr. Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education; Mr. Harish Bhat, Managing Director, Tata Global Beverages;Mr. Jo Leinen, Member of European Parliament, Germany; Ms. Anne Marie Lizin, Hon. (Former) President of Senate, Kingdom of Belgium; Mr. Nirj Deva, Member of European Parliament, United Kingdom among others will be at the Conference.

A special focus on Karnataka will be initiated at the conference with the session “Advantage Karnataka”, which will highlight Karnataka as a major investment destination aimed towards development of industry and commerce in the State.

“The session will facilitate an understanding of the business environment in the state and enable prospective investors to interact with key government figures and local businesses to gain knowledge on fiscal and financial incentive packages for investment”, added Shiva Shanmugam, President, FKCCI.

Corporate Culture & Spirituality (CCS) Conference is an annual event where leaders of business, governance, academia, civil society and faith based organizations come together to share their expertise on an ethics based approach and its impact on the bottom-line through the integration of spiritual values in business.

Speaking about CCS, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Spiritual leader, Humanitarian and Founder Art of Living had said, “Today, where the boundaries of economics, politics and religion have all but disappeared, we must work towards building a holistic society which simultaneously addresses individual growth and societal challenges."

The 10th edition of the conference will see participation of around 700 delegates from the state of Karnataka, nationally as well as internationally. The event will be webcast to 90 countries globally.
