Keeping a Heritage Alive Gurudev takes responsibility for a Vedic school that is about to be closed. At first the 185 boys and their 21 teachers operate out of the family home, but space proved to be a constraint. They soon move to another building and later relocate to the ashram. Gurudev’s whole family joined in the effort of caring for the boys:
“The difficulties we faced in the early stages were enormous, but every time one came up, Guruji would say, ‘Come on, we will do it!’ This was the only thing that kept us going…several children who studied in this school are now head priests in various temples across India.” –Pitaji
