Norway peaceTo facilitate peace-building measures to end long-standing conflicts in South Asia, H.H.Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar led the Peace & Reconciliation Conference in Oslo.

“We must continue to pursue the path of peace,” said H.H.Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. “Conflicts are bound to come, and we have to make them a stepping stone to achieve the ultimate goal of global peace,” he urged the audience comprising stakeholders in the peace process from the region as well as experts.

The conference was held under the aegis of the International Association for Human Values, (IAHV), a sister organization of the Art of Living. The focus of the conference was on finding a novel solution, which combines South Asian perspective, and Western thought.

It called for peaceful resolution of the unsettled issues, and cited spirituality as a way forward. Special workshops on the Naxal violence in India, ethnic Tamil strife in Sri Lanka, and oppression in Myanmar were conducted during the conference.
