Ravi Shankar Planning Development For Tripura And Northeast

Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that he has found enormous development in Tripura and everything has been changed in terms of development.

Addressing a press meet he said that Tripura as a small state has immense potential to emerge as an organic state and large percentage of state’s unemployment problems can be solved. He also stated that the human resources in Northeast region are very rich and should properly utilize these vast resources.

Shankar said that at present 200 youths of NE region are going through skill development training at AOL headquarters in Bangalore. He also said that AOL can set up an Ayurvedic college in Tripura if they get proper land and other logistic support. He urged the civil society of the state to come forward to solve the major unemployment problems of the state.

Highlighting on natural resources of NE region, Ravi Shankar said at present India is importing bamboo stick from neighboring countries, but the Northeast can be a major hub of bamboo stick if it gets proper infrastructure. Shankar added that Tripura has rich bamboo products which could be harnessed to develop the state and its economy.

ISIS rebuffs Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that he tried to initiate a peace talk with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) but they rebuffed him by sending him a photograph of a beheaded man.

Talking to the media, Ravi said he thinks the ISIS does not want any peace talks and hence, they should be dealt with by the military. Holding a series of meetings across Tripura, he said that there is a need to bring peace to India’s northeastern region and urged the militant outfits of the region to hold peace talks with the government. Gurudev also said that his aim was to unite all cultures, religions, faith and ideologies.
