Kisan Samruddhi Mahotsav

January 29-30, 2025

Featuring Jal Yukt Shivir 2.0, an extraordinary water conservation project that has transformed lives across Maharashtra.

We have to stop farmer suicides immediately. If farmers are unhappy, our country cannot be healthy either

- Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Farmers at the Heart of the Mahotsav

This year, over 300 farmers, deeply impacted by Jal Yukt Shivir 2.0, are attending the Mahotsav to express their gratitude to Gurudev. What makes this event unique is that these farmers are personally funding their travel, many coming from drought-affected regions such as Jalna, Wardha, Akola, Amaravati, and Latur.

Jal Yukt Shivir 2.0: Impacting Lives Across Maharashtra

In just 4-5 months, the Art of Living Foundation, under Gurudev’s vision, rejuvenated 50 nalas (streams) across 10 districts, covering an area of 150 kilometers. These streams were desilted, deepened, and widened, benefiting over 2 lakh people in 25 talukas.

Regions Covered:

  • Marathwada Region: Solapur, Latur and Beed
  • Vidarbha Region: Nagpur, Wardha, Amaravati, Akola and Buldhana
  • Khandesh Region: Nandurbar
  • Western Central Maharashtra: Ahilyanagar

Farmers are reaping the benefits

Decades of neglect had left many nalas dry for over 50 years. With help of farmers and local government, their locations were identified, and they were revived.
