Everyone wants to be free from stress, but first of all, do you know what stress is? Stress is too much to do and too little time or energy. When we have too much to do with not enough time and energy, the we get stressed. So either you reduce your workload, which doesn’t seem to be a possibility these days, or you increase your time – this is not possible either. So what we are left with is to increase your energy levels.

Here are four simple techniques to increase energy:

  1. The right amount of food – not too much and not too little. A balanced diet with enough carbohydrates and proteins.
  2. The right amount of sleep. 6 – 8 hours of sleep, not more not less.
  3. Learning some deep breathing exercises – this increases your energy.
  4. Few moments of a meditative mind. Few minutes of deep relaxation – conscious deep relaxation is what I would call meditation. A few minutes of meditation can relieve all types of stress. If you meditate in the morning and evening for 15 – 20 minutes, it is good enough. It will keep you going.

Stop Stress Before It Starts

There is a saying “You can’t learn archery in the war field”. You have to learn archery before you get into that position. So, at that moment when you are stressed, you can’t do, but you have to do something before so that you don’t go to that level at all, you don’t get stressed. You can’t learn a new tune on the stage, though I don’t believe in this, this is a saying, actually nothing is impossible. I would say change in the way you behave, change in the food habits, and change in the way you perceive things in life, your communication ability, your ability to withstand criticism and take criticism… Generally, the outlook towards life itself makes a difference. Your getting connected to the universal spirit, how much you are connected to the universal spirit, that much more is your ability to function.

Meditation

You know today’s scientists say, if we meditate 20 minutes twice a day for eight weeks, that’s two months, the gray matter in our brain increases and the structure of brain changes. We know meditation impacts us, but when you hear from scientist as well, it reaffirms our ancient experience of many, many, many, many years, with many, many, many people around the world. So, meditation is important. Today every two seconds, we’re losing 7 lives on this planet because of stress. Seven people are dying every two seconds because of stress, which can be avoided. So the way to relieve stress is deep meditation. Deep meditation, we can get rid of stress. We can put the smile back on the faces of people.

Stress and Education

Stress creates aggression and violence, or it creates depression or suicidal tendencies. And this is all because we have not been taught by anyone how to handle our mind.

Education is not just collecting information, it is learning to know who you are, and what is your capacity. It is learning to know the 7 different layers of your existence, i.e., the body, breath, mind, intellect, memory, ego, and Self. We are totally ignorant of these layers of existence, so we do not know how to handle rage or anger when it comes up within us.As I said, neither at home nor at school does anyone teach us how to handle our minds and our emotions, so it remains with people and either turns into depression or into aggression.

Studies show that a significant per cent of school teachers are depressed. When teachers are depressed, what would they communicate to the students? They transfer only depression! A happy person will communicate happiness to others, a depressed person only transfers depression.So we need to teach our kids non-aggression, i.e., how to have non-violent communication, and how to broaden their vision and have patience.

Peace in Me, Peace on Earth

What’s happening in today’s world, when people are stressed, either they hurt themselves, or they hurt others. Just remember your own self, when you are so stressed you are mad at people and it did it hurt others? Is this not our experience? When we are not normal, not in our senses, we tend to do things which hurt our dear and near ones. So, in stress either we are, we are hurting our self and we are hurting others too. And this is what is happening around the world. So, we all have a moral responsibility to bring more happiness in the society. Don’t you think so? What is the purpose of life? Why do we live, if we are only creating misery around us, right? The purpose in our life is to spread happiness. Bring waves of happiness.

Secret of Happiness

Anything you do in your life, you do for what? To have more happiness and more happiness, and more happiness. And happiness can only happen when we are free from stress and we are wise enough to see world from a broader perspective. We need wisdom in life to avoid stress or when stress comes to withstand stress, to avoid stress what we need? Wisdom, a broad vision. And the stress which has already come, we need technique to get rid of them. And breathing, meditation is all techniques and tools and techniques, which can help us to get rid of stress which is there and which can create room for wisdom to avoid stress that might come,

If it’s not there. When there is trust in people, communication happens When the trust is broken, communication breaks down further, and leads to disasters. So all that is needed whether in a family, in a relationship, in business or between nations, it is three things, communication, communication and communication. It’s a heart-to-heart communication, soul to soul communication and head-to-head communication. Three levels of communication. Meditation is soul to soul communication.

Change Your Perspective, Change Your Life

It’s time to wake up and see, we are not going to be here forever. We are going to be another 10 – 20 – 30 – 40 years, maybe 10 years, 20 years. As long as we live, can we not smile more and make others smile more? That is Art of Living. Art of living is that connectivity to the higher energy with in the universe that is within you.
