The Art of Living presented its first Ayurveda centre in the strife-torn Kurdistan, Iraq Tuesday, 2nd June, 2015. The centre was inaugurated by Dr Rikot Hamah Rachid, the Health Minister of Kurdistan.
"We need to help people in Iraq live a holistic life by introducing the Ayurvedic method of treatment which helps body, mind and spirit. Ayurveda is natural and helps the body to rejuvenate itself and get rid of toxins," shares Mawahib Shaibani, Director of International Association for Human Values – Iraq.
Treatments like Panchakarma, Marma, Abhyanga, Naadi Pariksha and various other spine and knee treatments will be available at the centre. Dr. Vishnu Prasad from Sri Sri Ayurveda along with two trained therapists will be providing the necessary treatments and care to the people.
“Ayurvedic relaxation treatments along with Yoga could help many people here who are in a disturbed state of mind”, shared Dr. Vishnu.
