Colombo. 5.30pm. Saturday November 5 2011. Several thousand eyeballs will be swaying through their TV sets to watch the much-awaited finals of Sri Lanka`s top talent-search music program - the Shakthi Junior Superstar singing contest. The program is produced and telecast by the country`s leading Tamil TV channel Shakthi TV.
Competing amongst over 2000 participants and sailing smoothly through several rounds of singing in various genres of music, Avinesh and Yathunandini both students of Art of Living`s Art Excel course are among the four finalists at the Shakthi Junior Superstar Finals program. Yathunandini who took the Art Excel course over 2 years ago says “ My faith in Guruji Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji and the Sudharshan kriya breathing technique helped me in voice training, confidence and to handle tension“.
In August 2011 14 semi-finalists were also taught the Art Excel program by Art of Living teachers Senthil Subramanyam from Tamil Nadu and Alexander Luthra from Bangalore replete with breathing techniques, yoga and practical knowledge points. Says Avinesh with a cool smile “the Art of Living course point of giving your 100% and to laugh and let-go in relaxation saw me through to the finals”.
Come Saturday, the country`s leading singers will judge four junior singing stars. Art of Living`s and a million peoples` choice, Avinesh and Yathu are cool, calm and breathing easy to take a million TV viewers` breath away this Saturday !
