Sacramento, CA— (November 29, 2018) Announced today, The Art of Living Foundation (AOLF) has committed $1 million to support trauma relief and recovery efforts in response to the wildfires that recently threatened Butte County in California. The grant money will be used to provide stress and trauma relief programs to individuals, groups and organizations impacted by the Butte Fires. The grant applications close on 1/31/2019.
The AOLF’s stress-relieving breathing techniques have helped people release the past and move on with hope and peace of mind. Mental healing compliments material aid, leading to holistic rehabilitation. After natural calamity, the mind suffers from trauma caused by disaster– of family and friends lost, homes destroyed and culture disrupted. Although crucial, material aid, alone, does not satisfy the victims’ need for care and aid. Their minds need attention and love after such traumatic events. The Art of Living Happiness program help people rebound and be free from the deep impressions of shock and sorrow left by conflict, enabling participants to release the past and move on with hope and peace of mind. They also assist those trapped outside a conflict to handle their frustration, preparing them to enter into relief work with a calm mind, strength, and resolve.
Rob Trombold, President Art of Living Foundation stated, “To everyone in California affected by the recent devastating wildfires, we in the Art of Living Foundation extend our love and support. Survivors often suffer from stress, anger, and sadness. Profound loss coupled with an uncertain future contributes to depression, anxiety, addiction, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The Art of Living Foundation has a history of helping people when global events cause human suffering. Our proven stress management techniques provide relief; which strengthens and rejuvenates the survivors. We offer our support and will help in any way that we can.”
AOLF has provided immediate and impactful relief efforts for disasters and traumas that have occurred throughout the United States including; 2017 Las Vegas Shooting, 2017 Sonoma County Wildfire Relief, 2017 Mexico Hurricane Relief, and many others outlined here. The foundation offers numerous highly effective educational and self-development programs and tools that facilitate the elimination of stress and foster deep and profound inner peace, happiness and well-being for all individuals. These programs, which include breathing techniques, meditation, yoga, and practical wisdom for daily living, have helped millions around the world to completely transform their lives.
