The Yoga Impact

Reshma, 40, isn't just a stage 4 cancer survivor, she's a beacon of hope in Karnataka’s largest prison. After a decade in London, she returned to India in 2014. Over the past four years, she has impacted 5,000 inmates at Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Prison through the Art of Living Meditation and Yoga program. This initiative transforms inmates' lives by reducing stress, healing trauma, and fostering inner happiness. Inmates gain vocational skills for post-release reintegration. Reshma's work helps them realize their faults, forgive themselves, and empathize with others, ultimately improving their legal outcomes and mental well-being.

Neha, a homemaker from Mohali, Punjab, lives with her father and two children. Passionate about health, she enjoyed gym workouts, running, and various exercises. However, her mother’s sudden death two months ago deeply affected her mental health, preventing her from maintaining her fitness routine. Despite support from family and friends, she felt empty. Desperate for change, Neha joined Sri Sri Yoga classes. Within 15-20 days, she experienced significant positive changes, gaining energy and confidence. Yoga and meditation provided a fresh perspective, alleviating her cervical and back pain. Now, she prioritizes yoga, which she sees as a vital, transformative practice.
