Sudarshan Kriya also known as “kriya” is a powerful breathing tool that calms the mind and energises the body. Once you have learnt it you can use it anywhere, anytime.

Sudarshan Kriya is a powerful rhythmic breathing technique that de-stresses the mind and energises the body. The course includes take-home breathing techniques to sustain enthuisiasm and energy everyday.

Art of Living is not a religion – it is a humanitarian organisation that welcomes people of all cultural backgrounds – Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, everyone regardless of ethnicity, culture, sexuality or personal beliefs. Anyone who breathes can belong to the Art of Living!
No the Art of Living is not affiliated with any single religion and embraces the spiritual essence of all religions and cultures. The Art of Living breathing and meditation techniques draw on ancient Vedic (Indian) knowledge.
Along with the breath, the Art of Living Foundation is also about celebration – and that includes all sorts of festivals, from Christmas to Navratri!
You will learn about the breath, meditation, yoga, living well – knowledge with its basis in ancient Vedic wisdom and in contemporary science.
Course participants bring their own cultures, stories and traditions which adds to the Art of Living experience.
Course fees cover venue and associated costs and also provide funding to enable the organisation to contribute to community wellbeing initiatives across New Zealand and around the world.
The course provides you with powerful tools for life – free to use anywhere, anytime.
The Art of Living provides free trauma relief programmes across New Zealand and around the world.
This includes programmes in post-earthquake Christchurch and more recently in Kaikoura.
The Foundation has also worked with the Department of Corrections, Ministry of Justice including providing the Prison Smart programme in Auckland and Christchurch.
For those in financial distress the Foundation sponors the Art of Breathing (Happiness Programme) on an individual basis.
