Art of Living volunteers have orgzanised this weekend an action for the children from the ”Ana si Copiii” Care Center . The two storey building could barely hosted the 60 kids which came to take part in the event. Dancing, Drawing, Arts & Crafts, Karaoke, Theatre, were the activities prepared for the little ones. After they had been split into groups, each one has taken turns and participated in each workshop. Thus, the children learned dance steps, led by a team of professional dancers, painting, made decorated frames, sang in karaoke, watched a play, and at the end, they have all received diplomas and prizes consisting in satchels and toys.
The frames made by them, at the Arts & Crafts workshop, were posted for exposition at a local restaurant, where people could buy them, the money being used for future projects.
This is just the begginig... For Christmas they have planned a new action, this time a bigger one, with special guests many surprizes.
Also, preparations for a Non Aggression Programme have begun, for children between ages 8 to 15 years old, where they will learn about the importance of non-violence, human values suchs as friendship, cooperation, compassion, respect and wish to contribute.
This is the second event organized for the children at ”Ana si Copiii”. The first one was a celebration for children with disabillities, which are in the centers` care.
