Corruption hindered development of the nation, said Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living, a humanitarian organisation for stress and violence-free society, here on Monday.
On the sidelines of a rudra puja organised by the local unit of Art of Living, he told reporters that one had to run from pillar to post for at least 20 places for obtaining necessary permission to establish educational institutions.
Single-window system
To avoid corruption in giving permission to start educational institutions, the State and Central governments should establish a single-window system, wherein educationists or trusts could obtain all permission at one place, he added.
Art of Living restored Naganathi river in Tiruvannamalai district and his organisation had so far restored 16 rivers across the country.
‘Keep rivers clean’
Keeping waterbodies, especially rivers, clean should be the duty of all, he said.
A mega meditation programme with the participation of 35 lakh people from 155 countries would be organised in Delhi for three days from February 11, said Ravi Shankar.
