Staff members of ‘Berliner helfen e.V.’ and the Berlin City Mission on Friday morning gratefully received a check of 5000 Euros and five packages of winter clothes, sleeping bags and more which will support around 7000 homeless people in Germany’s capital.
"We are here to help"
Under the motto "We are here to help!" volunteers of The Art of Living Foundation along with its sister organization World Forum for Ethics in Business organized a fund-raising campaign in their nationwide network. Like this not only clothes were collected, the volunteers and course participants of The Art of Living also donated their secret Santa presents which had been brought for their Christmas party last weekend.
Christoph Glaser, Director of the World Forum for Ethics in Business and Director of the Art of Living Germany eV, said on the occasion of the donation handover.
"Our organization is committed to spread human values and is active in humanitarian aid projects. It is very important for us that we work not only in our major projects in disaster areas and sustainable education programs in India, but are also present locally and help wherever we can.
We are pleased that with the support of our large network of volunteers and our partnerships with other organization, we can handover these donations to you today.
