I Meditate Africa - 2014

I Meditate Africa is a free campaign promoting peace in Africa, encouraging the use of meditation as a mainstream peace building block for the African continent.

500 studies from over 200 universities in 33 countries scientifically validate both the beneficial effects of meditation, and how individual & group meditation can improve the quality of life for every one.

In tackling the challenges facing Africa today, from issues around violence, crime, & unrest the benefits of meditation can definitely be given more serious consideration, as part of peace building.

 Africa Meditation Month

100 000 Meditated for Peace

"Africa is known for its rhythm. Meditation is the rhythm of the soul & life; the way to bring a wave of Happiness on the planet. Thousands meditated for peace & prosperity in Africa & also across the world. May our intention for a peaceful & conflict-free Africa materialise"
- Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar after guiding the Africa Day peace meditation on the 25th May 2014.

In Africa Month 2014, as part of Africa Day celebrations over 100 000 meditated for Peace for the African continent.

This was an awe inspiring story of a continent coming together in peace & leaving a positive effect in the land, environment and minds of people.

This was possible through the dedication of volunteers, support of the ordinary citizen, & participation of educational institutes across Africa.

76 countries participated on Africa Day in a live webcasted peace meditation. The support was so overwhelming, that technical connection challenges were experienced, in some countries, thankfully there's no limit on human consciousness working towards Peace and understanding.

Participating African countries in 2014 were: Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, DRC, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe

We invite you to join us again next year during Africa month, in spreading peace to more corners of our continent.
