Karnataka, India
10th February 2014

With a view to spread love, trust and belongingness among people of different faiths and cultures, the Art of Living is hosting a unique inter-faith congregation on February 10, 2014, at the Art of Living International Centre from 5 pm to 8 pm. The organization has extended the invitation to one and all.

Christened Sneh Milan, the event will bring together people of Hindu and Islamic faiths from all walks of life. Prominent community leaders, scholars, intellectuals, clerics, journalists and politicians are likely to be among the thousands of people from the Muslim community expected to attend the event.

Several guests from Iraq, Pakistan, Israel, Oman, the UAE and Afghanistan will also be present at the event.

During the programme, Gurudev will interact with the gathering with a view of sharing his vision for promoting belongingness and love among people. The interaction will be followed by a Priti Bhoj where people will share a community feast.

“Sneh Milan is a continuation of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s ceaseless endeavor to promote love, trust and belongingness among people of all faiths and promote inter-faith harmony in the country. Guruji has been working around the world to promote a stress-free and violence-free world,” said Prakash of the organizing committee.

In the past, the Art of Living has taken up several initiatives to build bridges between diverse communities. Its recent work of reconciliation in the aftermath of communal riots in Muzaffarnagar and Assam are well-appreciated. He has also taken the message of peace and harmonious co-existence to other countries plagued by sectarian conflicts such as Pakistan, Iraq, etc.
