Road safety for children
To spread awareness on road safety, the first Traffic Festival was held from 29 April and ndash;1 May 2008 in association with the Children and Mothers and rsquo; Welfare Society and the General Directorate of Traffic in Bahrain. Held for the public, with an emphasis on the youth, the festival was attended by children from many schools. The event included education on road safety and traffic rules through multimedia presentations and interactive sessions. To reduce stress when driving, special breath techniques were taught. Children went back with slogans such as: and ldquo; It and rsquo;s cool to be safe and rdquo;, and ldquo; In a Jam, breathe and rdquo; and and ldquo;Belt up Bahrain and rdquo;.
