H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar has touched millions of lives compassionately with His knowledge and wisdom. According to Him, 'One who comes to help, without being asked to help; one who is self-motivated, inspired, becomes a volunteer'. Art of Living Singapore, similar to the global organization, is volunteer-based. All our teachers and volunteers serve as they are passionate about making a difference in other people’s lives. In Singapore alone, over 150 volunteers run social service projects that spread joy and happiness and lend a helping hand to those in need.
We come to realize that the true measure of our lives is not how much we have gained for ourselves, but how much we have given.

Why is Making a Difference Important?
Stop and think for a moment: What has brought you a sense of fulfillment in your life?
Jot down all those times in your life when you felt fulfilled. You will notice that there is a pattern in your answers. Making a difference to others is the pattern, as fulfillment is tied to a sense of purpose. Making a difference enhances a sense of purpose and having a sense of purpose brings lifelong benefits.
