Mahashivratri 2023
Mahashivratri is the day of Lord Shiva. Wherever there is beauty, truth, and benevolence, there is Shiva. And, there is no place where the Shiva principle is absent. But, Shiva is not a person. It is that principle which is the summum bonum of the whole creation and pervades the entire universe. This principle, called the Shiva Tattva, is the quintessence of life and is present deep within every living being.

Reflections
“India has been always the best place to recharge my energy. Some places are known for their beautiful landscapes, others are known for the food or the music but India and Bangalore International Centre during Shivaratri becomes the best destination to find all the experiences within and realize that there is only one source, one principle that is innate and inevitable once you go deep inside the self."
“It was amazing and impressive to see an ocean of people coming together from all over the world seeking a spiritual experience. The presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, thousands of meditators, ancient chants and rituals allowed me to dive into deep meditation.”
"It is said there is nothing impossible in this night and every desire will be fulfilled. So my thought was to ask for something great not mundane. And I asked to see the highest reality, the real truth. I got my experience in that midnight meditation. I would say simplicity is the key word to describe it. Like everything is one huge vacuum/field/space but somehow we tend to forget it and make daily life complicated."
"Shivratri is that time of the year when you are amidst an ocean of people, yet with yourself. Every aspect of the festivities is deep, vast and glorious but tinged with tranquillity. Now I know what my Shivaratri is going to be like!"
"Shiva is the unseen energy which runs this existence. During Shivaratri, the mantras and the celebrations invoke that energy into a tangible experience. A must attend."
