Find Freedom From PCOS In
9 Natural Ways (Part-2)

This is continued from Find freedom from PCOS in 9 natural ways (Part-1)

#6 Try Pranayamas and Mudras to cure PCOS

Did you know that mudras and pranayamas can actually cure PCOS? Among mudras, Shankha Mudra and Vayu Mudra can help, and among pranayamas, Nadi Shodhan Pranayama and Brahmri Pranayama can come to your rescue!

How Do I Do Shankha Mudra?

Shankha Mudra can be done by wrapping four fingers (except the thumb) of your right hand around your left thumb. Now bring the tip of your right thumb in touch with your left middle finger. Let the other three fingers of your left hand be parallel to the middle finger. Your hand will form the shape of a conch shell (also called shankha). Perform the mudra at least 3 to 4 times a day for 3 minutes each round.

How Do I Do Vayu Mudra?

Vayu Mudra can be done by letting the index finger touch the mound of the thumb and letting your thumb touch the medial phalange of your index finger while leaving the other three fingers straight. Perform the mudra at least 3 to 4 times a day for 3 minutes each round.

#7 Take A Break

Have you been longing for a break? Is it getting difficult to balance life and work? Are you bored of your routine? If all of that’s true, maybe it's time to take at least the weekend off and rejuvenate yourself. Your body and mind needs relaxation. You can relax at a spa or meet friends you haven’t met in a long time. How about a meditation retreat with friends to a place you love? All this can make you feel cared, and that is what you need most at this time.

You may head to Panchakarma centres close to your home for healing therapies like Marma. It detoxifies your body and balances your energy centres to relax the body and mind. Craniosacral therapy and Virechna are also known to help. You may consult a Nadi Parikshak before you opt for these therapies to choose what suits your condition best.

#8 Make Yourself Available

The days you feel low are the days when you must move out and serve. You needn’t go far; service can be offered to people wherever you are. Why not be of help to a colleague in office, to a friend in college, or a poor kid on the street. You just need to make yourself available—it is easy to find reasons and people you can help. When you are busy helping others, you forget your worries and anxiety. When your presence brings a smile to others, you feel content.

#9 Keep Yourself Well Informed

Do you read websites and conduct research about your health concerns often? From the research you do and the experiences you have, you can start your own blog, where you can post what you feel, how you deal with PCOS, and what has helped you along the way! There are many like you who are dealing with PCOS. Your story might turn out to be an inspiration for them!

Research says if something is pinning you down, you will feel better if you pen it down. According to research conducted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, writing down your life experiences and emotions can benefit your health remarkably and help you feel better about the life you are currently leading.
