H.H.Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar brought together hundreds of monks, and saints from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, and various parts of India in his bid to harness the commonalities in the teachings of the two religions as a source of world peace.
Vedanta, and Buddhism have the solution to combat the problems of depression, violence, and conflicts as they connect you with inner strength through meditation,” he said in his address at the ‘Vedanta-Buddhism: Bringing Global Peace’ conference at the Art of Living International Center in Bangalore.
Organized by the Art of Living, and the Maha Bodhi Society, the two-day-conference aimed at building complementary roles for both traditions to resolve problems facing the world.
“The world needs to know how to live amidst differences. and celebrate those differences,” H.H.Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar told the gathering.
