Top 4 Tips to Make
Your Day Beautiful

Do you go to bed every night with a wish of opening your eyes to a beautiful day next morning? But since it’s OUR day, why wait for something to happen out of the blue? Why not make it beautiful ourselves? Here are four simple tips to making that happen.

Bring A Smile To Someone’s Face…

...and it will guarantee a bigger one on yours. Stepping out of your comfort zone might be a little uncomfortable at first, but it is really worth it. How about helping an elderly cross the road, volunteering to open the door for a person with lots of carry bags at a shop, or even helping your mom with cooking? These small gestures can add so much happiness to people’s lives. And when can you make them happy? Only when you are happy! Isn’t it? You can share only that which you have. And an effortless way to make happiness your nature is through meditation. When you share happiness, it only multiplies. What goes around definitely comes around, and in a bigger way!

Spend Time In Nature’s Lap

Have you experienced the beauty of walking barefoot on grass? Or maybe let a flower rub against your cheeks? Or let your ears soak in the sound of the chirping birds or simply heard the cool breeze blow? Isn’t it so comforting to take respite from our daily chores and feel natural and beautiful with nature?

But give this a thought – birds chirp all the time and breeze blows all day, and yet even when you are physically present, do you notice these simple pleasures every day? Clearly, your mind was elsewhere. If this has been happening often and has been snatching the joys of your life, you might want to bring your awareness to the present moment.

When you are meditating, you are aware of what’s happening around you. With an expanded awareness, you are better able to enjoy the beauty of your day. Meditation is like turning the knob from half-heartedness to completeness.

Feel Grateful For What You Have And Don't Have

Have you noticed how much time we spend sobbing over things we don’t have instead of rejoicing over what we have? We are never satisfied and our wish-list keeps expanding. Haven’t you had a bitter feeling cribbing over such matters? For a change, meditate and bring your focus from lack to abundance. You will feel contended with what you have and stop missing what you don’t. Life hasn’t stopped just because you did not have something you desired, has it? Experience the art of letting go with meditation and then make it a daily practice by meditating regularly.

Laugh Out Loud

Happiness is viral. Don’t you naturally feel happy in the company of happy people? Giving your face muscles a workout with a laugh isn’t a bad idea at all. Meditation takes you to an understanding that you are nothing but joy. So, when you can choose between smiling and frowning at a situation, why settle for something like anger, which is less than what you deserve. With a smile, take away a few years off your face and add youthfulness to it. You can even smile while meditating and meditation shall prolong its effect for you.

A Good Time To Meditate?

Our need for relaxation is mostly at the end of the day, when we are totally burnt out without any time to reflect over the day’s happenings and take the last cozy step to a peaceful sleep. So, when your energy basket is half empty by afternoon, snatch some time to meditate and refill the battery to the brim for the next half.

Often, we may not be able to decide the course of our day and the events that may happen. But we have got the choice to bloom however we are planted for the day if we take things easy with meditation. All we need to do is use the meditation tool and shovel out the weeds of negativity from our garden of intentions and make way for something beautiful to flourish.

Let a few moments of thoughtlessness give you the impetus to make your day beautiful.
