Har Ghar Dhyan - Overview

Har Ghar Dhyan is a collaborative initiative of The Art of Living and Ministry of Culture, Government Of India, under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” (AKAM), as a special offering to benefit the citizens on the occasion of 75 years of independence for our Country.

The initiative works through volunteers, who are aware of the benefits of Meditation, to reach out to the society and encourage people to experience Meditation. Our volunteers or Meditation Ambassadors will organise one-hour sessions to educate about mental health and meditation. These sessions will be conducted by Trained Art of Living Teachers or Meditation Coaches.

Inaugural Ceremony

The Har Ghar Dhyan initiative was inaugurated by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji on 26th October 2022, at the Art of Living International Centre on Kanakapura Road, Bangalore. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri Basavaraj Bommai was present at the inaugural ceremony along with representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Over 20,000 people were present at the venue. The inauguration was live-streamed on official social media handles of the Art of Living with over 30,000 viewers joining online.
