Abhinav Gupt Is Symbol Of
Kashmir: Ravi Shankar

JAMMU, June 11: Terming Acharya Abhinav Gupt as symbol of Kashmir, the founder of Art of Living and Chairman Abhinav Gupt Samaroh Samiti, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today said that Kashmiris should feel proud of this great philosopher King.

Addressing a function at Zeshta Devi shrine near here today, he said as apple, walnut, almond and saffron is symbol of Kashmir likewise the Acharya Abhinav Gupt a world renowned scholar is also symbol of Kashmir and every Kashmiri should take pride in it. He said Abhinav Gupt has written about the philosophy and world view in Sutra form which is scientific. Describing it his great contribution, he said his philosophy, arguments and reasoning is based on logic. He wondered why this great philosopher has not become a household name in all over India. “It was the joint responsibility of J&K people in general and Kashmiris in particular irrespective of their religion and race to propagate his thought and philosophy. “There should be a research on his teachings and works which are based on humanism and non dualism”, he added.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar stressed on establishment of chairs in every university of country especially J&K.

Later talking to reporters Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar denied that there was any plan of taking Acharya Abhinav Gupt yatra to Beeru cave.

He said that taking of yatra to Beeru cave was not on the agenda of Samaroh Samiti.
The founder of Art of Living was responding to a question during an interaction with media persons here today.

He said the main objective of the yatra is to restore peace as Acharya Abhinav Gupt was great messenger of peace and brotherhood.

On the construction of separate colonies for displaced Pandits, he said that the construction of separate colonies is must for confidence building among the displaced people who have been hounded out from Valley over 27 years back. “The displaced people on their return to Valley can’t go to their ancestral places till the situation is conducive for that and till they can gain confidence”, he added.

He said after their confidence is restored they will themselves chose to visit their homes.
National president of Acharya Abhinav Gupt Padamshree J L Koul, State president of the Committee Shiv Prasad Raina, Prof Rajnesh Shukla, Atul Bhardwaj a religious preacher, Dattaray Hoshbolay, additional general secretary RSS and Pardeep Koul a well known scholar and Bharat Bushan Bhat president Zeshta Devi Prabandhak Committee were present on the occasion.

The stage was managed by Ajay Bharti of J&K Vichar Manch. Earlier Kalash was immersed in river Sindh in Ganderbal by the members of the Samroh Samiti.
