Jupiter transit: Why Jupiter moving into Capricorn may not a bad way to end 2020

This year has been eventful, unexpected, and anticipatory. As it draws to a close, there is a play of stars in the cosmos which could affect us at subtle levels. The beauty of astrology is that these changes are accompanied by simple solutions that just require our awareness. And that’s all we need, as we move into a period where Jupiter transitions into Capricorn on November 20.

Usually, the period when Jupiter transits through Capricorn is not considered to be a good time. That’s because Capricorn is considered to be a sign of debilitation for Jupiter. But let’s remember that Jupiter is a very important planet in our horoscope. It is an important planet in the sky. Jupiter is considered to be the planet of abundance, expansion, and hope. When this planet goes into debilitation, we see a decline in terms of positivity and hope. We might find that the kind of expansion we were expecting is not happening anymore.

What’s unique this time

Jupiter transitions into Capricorn every 12 years. But this time, it is joining Saturn, which is already positioned in its own house, Capricorn. And this gives rise to a very special condition - neecha bhangra raja yoga, the cancellation of the debilitation, and turning the adverse effects into yoga. While this gives some relief, it is important to remember that Jupiter is going to be in the debilitating sign. Thus, all the aspects that are ruled by Jupiter - abundance, wisdom, sense of discrimination, and the ability to have a far-sighted vision - may be restricted.

The good news

The effects of the debilitation can be compensated by following certain disciplines, rules, and dharma (moral values) in your life.

  • Students: Focus on discipline and hard work rather than just relying on your knowledge and wisdom or luck.
  • Working professionals: You bind yourself with discipline, follow certain rules, and rely on hard work. It is extremely important that you take care of your subordinates as well. With your subordinates’ support, bad times can be transformed into good periods. That’s what neecha bhangra raja yoga is all about.
  • Entrepreneurs: It is important to hold your horses. Don’t get into the race of expansion. This is a good time for self-evaluation. Take care of your people. It’s a good time to do an ethical and moral audit in your organization and examine if it is intact.
  • Spiritual seekers: For those who are on the path of spirituality and yoga, it is going to be an excellent time, especially when Jupiter and Saturn come very close to each other in Capricorn between December 16 and 29. For those waiting to get a leap in spirituality, this is your time.  It will become even more wonderful for seekers to go deeper into spirituality, especially from Makar Sankranti, which is between January 14 and February 12, 2021. This is going to be a very important time for any kind of spiritual transformation or going deeper into your practices as this is the month when all three planets are prominent. Jupiter is the significator of knowledge and wisdom, Saturn is for dispassion, and Sun for atman.
  •

Globally, we can expect some major changes in politics. Agriculture, mining, and real estate could go through a major transformation in terms of the insertion of new technology in these fields. There could also be a check in the markets if they are going over or underperforming, especially when Jupiter is transiting from Capricorn, which is from November 20, 2020, to April 5, 2021.

All in all, just relax and make the best use of this time by bringing more discipline into your life. Stick to commitments and set rules, focus more on team building, and take care of your people. Above all, follow dharma. For dharma protects those who uphold it.
