While travelling in North Carolina, I came across Luna’s Living Kitchen , a vegan/vegetarian restaurant that serves the best Grey Smoothie I ever had. Aptly named the Grey Hulk, this drink is a powerhouse of proteins and antioxidants.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 whole banana
- ¾ cup of hemp milk (you could even use almond milk)
- 1 scoop of hemp protein
- ½ scoop of maca powder
- ½ scoop of spirulina
Instructions:
In a blender combine the hemp milk, berries, banana, hemp protein, maca powder and spirulina powder.
Taste and add sweetener if necessary.
Benefits:
- Hemp is an excellent source of protein and fiber.
- Spirulina is a super food that contains vitamin B1, iron, protein and calcium.
- Blueberries are an excellent fruit to help prevent aging and cancer.
