"On this Environment Day, as we celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, let's take the Sankalpa (intention) to keep the water, air, and earth pure. Let us save every drop of water. Our organization has taken up the responsibility of reviving and rejuvenating 75 rivers. We also need to support and encourage the use of solar and wind power."

The Art of Living has been working extensively in the areas of river rejuvenation, tree plantation, and skill development. Under the organization's diverse efforts, 49 rivers have been revived, 81 million trees planted, 52 skill development centers set up across India, of which 22 are in prisons, and 145 schools electrified, with 20 in border villages.
