The NGT court today adjourned the matter of the World Culture Festival to August 2.
The court has given two weeks to the expert committee to file a report on the impact of The Art of Living's World Culture Festival on Yamuna floodplains.
The Art of Living was prepared with replies to applications on enzymes and alleged statements by Gurudev to some media; however the NGT gave three more days to file the replies.
The issue regarding the power of the Tribunal to entertain an application for contempt was very briefly discussed. The Tribunal has not recorded any finding on this question.
It may be stated here the allegation by Manoj Mishra regarding Gurudev's comment on the NGT are baseless. The petition was based on unverified newspaper reports.
The Art of Living has the video of the speech that clearly shows that no such comment was made by Gurudev. It was yet another malafide attempt by Mishra to malign and tarnish his image by false claims.
