These are two issues
1. Being on a spiritual path
2. Gaining success in whatever work you are doing
Don’t club them both. If you lose one, at least you have something else to hold onto. If you club them both, then you lose both. This is very important.
Many times people ask me, ‘With so much spiritual knowledge, why does India still have so many problems?’
I ask them, ‘There are so many hospitals, and still people are falling sick. So, are the hospitals responsible for people falling sick?’
If someone says that people are anyway falling sick, what is the need for hospitals? Will you shut them down? If you do, then you don’t know where you’ll be.
Similarly, when things are falling apart, if you think that in spite of spiritual practices things are falling apart, then you are not thinking right. If you lose that, you won’t even have the strength to go over the tough periods.
Just look at those people who have no knowledge of spirituality, or those who are not on the path, see how miserable they are. Just imagine for yourself that if you wouldn’t have had a taste of meditation, or the knowledge, where would you have been? You would have been much worse, isn’t it?
So, deal with them and trust that good things will happen to you. There is no doubt about it. This is a promise.
If you’re on the path, there is no way you will go down; you will only go up.
First you meet your soul, and your soul will say, ‘I am never old! I am young all the time'. Then your concerns will fly away.
See, nobody will like to have you as a soul mate when you’re so worried and bogged down by issues and problems. So, when you find your soul and realize that it is ever young, and when there’s a spark, a bubbling enthusiasm in you, there will be many soul-mates who would like to run towards you.
Tell me, where is there no conflict, except in meditation? Why have you been given intelligence? Nature has given you intelligence, and your intelligence has a job to do. If you have no intelligence, then there is no conflict.
So, if you are given intelligence, then it is for your intellect to resolve the conflict. Just let it function. You simply have to let your brain function. It is the brain that has created the conflict, and I tell you, it can resolve it too.
If you say, ‘No, I cannot resolve the conflict’, then get into one of the four categories of people who come to me. If you feel so miserable, surrender, then you will get the help.
If you think some people don’t have love, then you are not seeing properly. They do have love. There is not an inch of space on this planet that is devoid of love; either it is misplaced or it is shrouded in ignorance. That’s it.
Actually, you don’t trust yourself. If you trust yourself, you can trust anybody. I am not asking you to be naive; be intelligent, be sharp, be alert, and understand people from a bigger perspective.
When you’re too emotional, you fail to see things as they are. Why do you have this issue of trust? It is because you get into an imbalanced emotional outburst or outrage. You don’t see things as they are.
There is a fine balance between enriched emotion and a sharp intellect, and that is what yoga is all about. When it comes to perception, you have to have that gentle enriched emotion, a sharp intellect, and on top of this, allow your intuition to work.
No, I said, there is dark matter and dark energy. Dark energy is not negative. This is a scientific term for an energy which is not visible as a bright one. It is nothing to do with voodoo or black magic.
Physicists call the energy around the sun, or around the whole universe, which is invisible as dark energy and dark matter. So, I said, if an air bubble is trapped in a bottle of water, the air bubble is spherical because of the pressure of the water all around it. Similarly, the Sun is spherical because the energy around the sun is a million times more powerful than the Sun. That energy is called dark energy, it is not negative energy.
Dark is not bad. Krishna was also called dark. He never looked very fair. If you go to Africa, they have a picture of Jesus there and he looks dark too. So dark is considered to be beautiful! Language has its limitations, big time.
