We suggest: Inculcate the age-old habit of playing with sandalwood, flower petals and colors made of flowers and natural ingredients. If you instill in them the love for nature today, they will be able to then protect the ecosystem in the future.

3. Hair massage: Applying oil helps to protect hair from damage and prevents chemicals from entering the pores of the scalp. It also helps to wash off the color easily from the hair after playing Holi. As for children, this is an essential thing because they are still sensitive to anything that is remotely harmful to the body. Oil helps create a barrier between the scalp and color, making sure that your hair remains luscious and intact.

We suggest: Opt for coconut oil. It is always a good option.

4. Protect the skin: Make sure your child comes in touch with the colors only after having a properly moisturized skin. Applying sunscreen on the face and other body parts will help from skin tanning. It helps in moisturizing skin and maintaining the same tenderness as before. Moreover, that extra layer of protection will prevent allergic reactions to the colors on the skin.

We suggest: Coconut oil is also a good moisturizer. It will help in bringing the color off easily.

5. Give them breathable clothes: Some clothes tend to shrink and stick to the body, raising the chances of color getting absorbed in the skin. So, clothes which are less in use and are made of breathable fabric should be preferred for your children.

6. Educate: Have you mentioned the difference between a good and bad touch to your child yet? Explain to your children about what is a safe touch.
