Guru Purnima is a day of celebration for seekers. On this day, the seeker reviews his/ her journey - how far one has come on the path, what all one has experienced in life, how many hurdles one has faced and overcome, what has been the learning and in which direction life is moving.
It is a day to review one’s progress, rededicate one’s determination, and rejoice in gratitude. In a nutshell, here are the three things that Guru Purnima brings to you.
For a seeker, #GuruPurnima is the day to review one's progress, renew one's determination, and rejoice in gratitude.

Every seeker (sadhak) has three faces or three modes or moods that he goes through.
1. Loyalty and Confidence - Pashu Bhaav
The first mood is called pashu bhaav or the basic instinct. The seeker wants to fulfill his basic needs. One becomes a sadhak to get rid of misery. A sadhak is seeking to be free, to get liberated from misery and lack. One wants to experience abundance. And you experience this when you know that there is a which is taking care of you. This faith is pashu bhaav or the basic mood. It is confidence that there is someone who is taking care of my needs. If you know that there is someone who is providing for you, then you are relaxed and comfortable. Like when you have a pet at home, they know that their master is there who is going to take care of them. There is loyalty and confidence. That loyalty and confidence is the first mood of a sadhak.
2. Valor and Conviction - Veer Bhaav
Veer bhaav means the mood of valor. Veer bhaav is invoking the valor within. Life poses many challenges where one’s hope, faith, dream, and confidence gets shattered. In these moments one starts doubting one’s own abilities and progress. One starts doubting oneself and everybody else, which is only a reflection of self-doubt. When you go through this turmoil with the veer bhaav you feel, “I will go through this and I will come out of it successfully. I will achieve this, come what may.”
3. Purity and Serenity - Divya Bhaav
Divya bhaav is where you feel total oneness with the divinity. Sacrifice and dedication in veer bhaav lead you to divya bhaav, which is oneness with the divinity, where you see everything as a game. The whole universe is just a play and display of consciousness and you are not shaken or moved by anything, whatsoever. Nothing can take away the purity, serenity, and the love that you are. Sometimes one can say, “Oh! I am all love, but others are all bad.” But in divya bhaav you see the role of everyone else also as divine. You find every single role, whatever it is, as divine, as a game, as a play. Through these three moods, a sadhak moves in life as time progresses.
