"The purpose of music is to create silence. The purpose of silence is to bring dynamism in you" This was the message from Gurudev during Naada Vaibhavam. Art, culture, music are expressions of a refined consciousness. In 2006, Vidharba moved through difficult times with hundreds of farmers committing suicide, seeing no value in life. The Art of Living’s efforts to restore their inner strength and self-confidence through spirituality and empowering them with skills in organic farming has not only improved the quality of their lives but brought back 'the song' in them.
The 3000 artists from Vidharba will be rendering their traditional songs, sung in the village festivals, at family weddings, by the mothers to their children, by the farmers at night time by the fireside – lilting tunes that carry the magic of a life of happiness, strength and gratitude, in the presence of His Holiness Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Shankar Mahadevan, renowned Indian musician, will also be singing in the event.
