Healthy Cacao Kale Smoothie

Has coffee always been your “pick-me-up” drink no matter what time of the day? Coffee can be a good stimulant, but it is not good for our nervous system and cholesterol levels in the long run. Do not despair, you can still have an energizing start to the day with this healthy alternative that tastes as good or better than coffee.

Ingredients

  • Kale - 3 leaves washed
  • Strawberries - 10
  • Raw cacao powder - 3 Tbsp
  • Water or apple juice - 1 cup
  • Agave nectar - according to taste

Preparation

  • Add all ingredients in the blender. Blend till smooth.
  • Garnish with a little cinnamon and enjoy.

  • Kale is a high fiber food filled with folate and magnesium.
  • Strawberries is good for your eyes and bones.
  • Cacao powder is a great plant-based source for proteins.
