Yoga brings me lightness

I am Naazin a mindfulness coach from India. Since my early adolescence, I have been practicing Yoga Asanas

My first session with The Art of Living was during my late adolescence. Since then I have kept track of all Art of Living Programs and always made sure to join the follow-up programs.

I was indeed content and serene owning the opportunity to meet Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Guruji) in person on the concluding day of The Happiness Program.

This is what yoga means to me, to introspect, heal and revive. Yoga has been a part of my lifestyle from a very young age. I learned the first posture of Yoga during my early adolescence. From then I kept learning new postures and techniques of breathing.

In high school, I was a scholar in suryanamaskar, asanas, and pranayama. During late adolescence, I continued to practice breathing techniques and suryanamaskar along with meditation under Guruji’s guidance online.

In early adulthood, I was able to complete The Happiness Program and Wellness Yoga. Today I pay more attention to learn the pathway of yoga, chakra meditation, and its influence on the overall well-being of an individual.

According to me, Yoga is a system of exercises for psychological and physiological well-being.

Complete congruence is observed in the person who practices yoga consistently. Yoga sustains composure and harmony in the parasympathetic nervous system. The system allows the individual to feel light, process information accurately, stay healthy, become mindful, understand self, and experience flexibility in joints and muscles.

I took part in the five-day yoga challenge program by The Art of Living. On the second day, I learned about the eight limbs of yoga. The author of Yoga Sutra, Pathanjali classified yoga into eightfold path commonly known as eight limbs. The eight limbs of Yoga contain a set of recommendations for moral discipline and meaningful life.
