Practice Yoga at a historic monument in your city with other ‘Yogis’ and get featured on The Art of Living and Sri Sri Yoga's social media handles. This is an opportunity for you to celebrate with Yoga practitioners around the world.
To prepare yourself for this grand International Yoga Day celebration, here is what you can do.
- Form your Yoga Group
If you have yoga enthusiasts friends, ask them to join in the celebrations and preparatory steps. Contact the Art of Living center near you and be a part of a group that will be practicing Yoga at a historic monument and recording it like in the video above.
- Pick a pose
Pick a yoga pose with your group. You can choose to select one from this list of poses.
- Practice it daily
Practice this pose every day. Include it in your daily Yoga practice. Stretch the duration of the pose by a few seconds every day. Take deep long breaths while practicing it.
- Confirm your location
Confirm the location where your group wants to practice Yoga in this Google form.
- Record before 21st June
Record your group performing the posture before 21st June. Let the video duration be from 30 seconds to 1 minute. The video resolution should be of minimum HD (4k preferred) with 16:9 ratio. Record it using high res mobile, gimbal, tripod, or drone. You can click a picture too. Do not post/share the videos or pictures anywhere, including on your social media handles before 21st June 2022.
- Be featured with Yogis across the world
Sri Sri Yoga will be sharing your entries with the Govt. of India and posting them on the Art of Living & Sri Sri Yoga social media handles.
